In January 2014, the second edition of “Spieltheoretische Verhandlungs- und Auktionsstrategien” by Gregor Berz was published by Schäffer-Poeschel Verlag. The first edition has sold 1,600 copies since 2007 and found deep resonance in German-speaking industry. An English language edition, entitled ‘Game Theory Bargaining and Auction Strategies’ is available since January 2015 at Palgrave McMillan.

Fußball Bundesliga

A prominent example from our consulting practice: The IFAMD officially advised the German soccer league (DFL) on the design of its auction of audiovisual broadcasting rights for the period 2017/2018 to 2020/2021 as we already did for the period 2013/2014 to 2016/2017. The remarkable results featured in the daily press.

Processbench GmbH

In March 2013, the IFAMD assumed shares and operative control of Processbench GmbH, a spinoff of the Fraunhofer Institute, which offers the software ‘analycess procurement’ for mathematical price regression analysis (‘multidimensional performance pricing’). We already count several DAX-listed companies among our customers, as well as corporations from across Europe and the US. Current development efforts focus on an extension of the analycess software to sales.

A global first among auction designs: The procurement platform Mercateo presents a combinatorial reverse auction for daily business demands. Not only buyers benefit; powerful suppliers too can increase their sales. The IFAMD explains the workings of the system and the resulting business opportunities in a market commentary (available only in German here). Also see for more information.
